Brainstorming Makes You Valuable –The Correct Brainstorming Process and Tools Make Brainstorming Easy, Quick and Incredibly Fulfilling!

How Valuable Will Becoming a Brainstorming Expert Make You?

"You will learn the correct brainstorming process here and now if you take the time to understand and aren’t distracted away from this web site.  You will learn famous inventor Thomas Edison’s brainstorming secret formula to his thousands of successes. You will learn about others and about brainstorming case studies ranging from large global companies down to small start-up companies."

True Life Brainstorming...

Several years ago on assignment with Warner Bros. Studios (WB), I witnessed an incredible brainstorming event that proved how valuable brainstorming can be regardless of your position or title.

The Brainstorming Mystery!

A receptionist brainstormed a very simple idea that saved WB money in the administrative offices every week. Soon after, she brainstormed other simple, yet innovative ideas. These other creative ideas were quickly adopted. The Studio was saving more money in other departments as a result. Her other brainstorming ideas resulted in not just saving money, but these new brainstormed ideas were bringing in revenues.

What happened to this brainstorming receptionist?

They began shifting her into different higher areas of the organization. Her brainstorming became very well known by upper management. In a very short time (months) she scaled many titles above most. Each brainstorming idea she had was quickly adopted. Before long, she became the “brainstorming star” in the executive inner circles. In a super short time she was not only highly respected, but made a six-figure salary and six-figures more in annual bonuses.

Everyone was shocked except me. I was not surprised because I have seen this done many times over in the past 32 years of my professional career. But all were shocked because this receptionist was young, had no formal education, no talent and no skills. She had only been with WB a very short time. But as a direct result of brainstorming, she became highly respected by very important people. Brainstorming made her incredibly popular and everyone wanted to work with her. Not only that, everyone wanted to socialize with her. She turned down more parties in one week than most get invited to in a year. Few could understand why and even fewer understood it was because she knew that brainstorming was a very structured process (I will come back to the brainstorming process).

What should you learn from this brainstorming receptionist?

This brainstorming receptionist is just one example, as well as strong evidence, where brainstorming can take you and just how fast. She is living proof that brainstorming can be done by anyone regardless of age, education, skills or talent. She mastered the brainstorming process and as a result, money followed—lots of money. Brainstorming created growth situations that gave her higher and higher positions and responsibilities. Brainstorming made her extremely valuable to very important people and she loved her work.
  • She rose very quickly to higher positions and responsibilities.
  • She became extremely popular.
  • She became very well known among senior management. These results were solely because of her brainstorming outcomes.

Should you just think that it is always the other person and not you who can be creative and that they will come up with the next new big idea? What should you do with what you have just learned about brainstorming?

  • You should learn the simple truth about how easy brainstorming is once you know and use the real process!
  • You should learn that process as quickly as you can and start the creativity process today!
  • You should introduce your creative results at every opportunity every day!

No other skill moves people into higher positions and more money quicker than brainstorming. When you understand the brainstorming process, then you will become extremely valuable and in high demand. You will never need to hunt for a job. Instead, organizations will hunt for you.

"Brainstorming crosses all boundaries. Creativity skips over all barriers, red tape and all of the challenges that hold you back. All in an organization are forced to notice you and your innovations even if they don’t want to notice. They get left behind otherwise. That's why brainstorming creative people get noticed and advance!"

How to Brainstorm

It all starts with learning and using the brainstorming process. You will learn the correct brainstorming process here and now if you take the time to understand and aren’t distracted away from this web site. You will learn how to develop and implement brainstorming individually, in teams and in groups. You will learn about famous inventor Thomas Edison’s brainstorming secret formula that led to thousands of his successes. You will learn about others and about brainstorming case studies ranging from large global companies down to small start-up companies. You will have links to other valuable web sites that will give you some important tips and techniques.

Learn How to Brainstorm Today... Don't let another day pass you by!

Don’t get distracted. Bookmark this web site to your favorites now. Make sure you spend some time now so you can understand at least, the general brainstorming pattern. Then put this in your schedule to come back frequently and regularly so that new additional brainstorming information will be learned, and new important links and experiences can position you to master the brainstorming process. But let me give you another powerful reason to take the brainstorming process very seriously by some highlights taken from an interview by “Forbes Business Magazine with Bill Gates.”

Bill Gates (Mircrosoft) Interviewed by Forbes Magazine on June 23, 2008, 6:00 pm EST.

To summarize: What triggered this important and meaningful interview was because of Bill Gates leaving Microsoft. The interview was centered on his 35 years of success. Bill Gates had just given $36 billion dollars to charity. In other articles about Bill Gates by Forbes Magazine and other magazines and newspapers, it becomes very clear that Bill Gates attributed his success to innovation, brainstorming and the fact he encouraged and fostered free thinking in every part of his organization. You really get the sense of this in this article after he repeatedly refers to how the Microsoft “Research Department” is in every fiber of his organization’s current and historical successes (The full summary of Bill Gates and his Innovative Brainstorming can be read later from the link listed below. For now, please continue reading here).

  • In effect, what this means is, brainstorming creative people are currently in high demand—more than ever—and with good reason. But the question on the table for you is...
  • Now that you know how important brainstorming and creative thinking are, how serious should you be about learning and acquiring these skills and acquiring effective brainstorming creativity tools to advance your career?

In a moment I will reveal exactly how to brainstorm correctly as a process. Only then will you fully understand why most today miserably fail at brainstorming while others have repeated successes. Other successful brainstorming real world examples will be revealed so you can compare why they were so successful again and again only to find out it was because they used the correct process for brainstorming.

However, if you don’t take the time to verify these simple, effective approaches, then brainstorming will always remain a mystery to you. And when you try to brainstorm in a team situation, you will only come away embarrassed. On the other hand, if you take this seriously and don’t get distracted, then you will soon become a brainstorming creative expert. You will become very valuable to your company, your loved ones and most importantly, you will become valuable to yourself. And money will automatically follow as a result. Then you will get up every morning excited to go to work. You will love what you are doing. There is nothing like that sense of value you will have once you master the brainstorming process. Now here is the secret to your brainstorming success.

Brainstorming and Creativity Explained

Brainstorming has been a mystery for thousands of years down to our day. The reason for the mystery is that a fundamental truth has been overlooked. What has been overlooked is the fact we are all “hardwired” for brainstorming.

"You are no different than Thomas Edison the world famous inventor, you just don't know it yet. Once you learn and use the real process that naturally aligns with how you are hardwired, then you will become very valuable to your company, your loved ones and most importantly, you will become valuable to yourself."

The Creativity Difference

What allows people to be creative, while others are seemingly not, is the difference of knowing and applying the brainstorming process. Once you have been taught the process, new innovative and incredibly valuable ideas are easy to come by.

Creativity Fact: We are all hardwired for reading, writing and speaking. Once taught the process of reading, anyone can read. Some read faster and comprehend more, but not dramatically more. And faster reading is usually the result of nothing more than practice. It is no different with writing. Once taught the process of organizing vocabulary and grammar to communicate thoughts, anyone can write. Some write better and faster, but again, usually the difference is the result of practice. The same is true for brainstorming and creative thinking.

Thomas Edison’s Brainstorming Secret

You are no different than Thomas Edison the world famous inventor. You are hardwired for creativity like he was. When you examine Thomas Edison’s history and approach, you will quickly realize he understood brainstorming as a process. He used that process over and over. Creativity and brainstorming was not a “hit or miss” pursuit for him. Each time he used the brainstorming process, he had success. And so will you because you are no different than he was. He was hardwired for brainstorming creativity and so are you.

  • Brainstorming is a process. Once you understand the process, new innovative and incredibly valuable ideas are easy.
  • You are hardwired for creativity just like Thomas Edison which means you have just as much creative brainstorming ability as he had.

Not only do you have everything to succeed like Thomas Edison had, you have one big advantage over him—that of having computers. Today virtually no work is accomplished without some use of the computer. Computers typically do the heavy lifting mundane boring things. Every successful person or company today employs computers in some way. Therefore, software applications have been developed in an endless variety of ways and have also been created for brainstorming creativity.

  • Thomas Edison understood the brainstorming process and succeeded in every project. You are no different than him only you have one big advantage over him.
  • You are hardwired for reading, writing and speaking—it is no different for brainstorming and creativity—you are hardwired you just don’t know it yet!
  • Special software gives you a huge advantage over Thomas Edison—but be careful!

Beware of software. For the most part, these specialized brainstorming creativity software programs reflect the lack of understanding of the true brainstorming process. As a result, what are available are eclectic bits and pieces of the process. In some cases these programs may actually confuse things and are actually counterproductive in brainstorming. These applications range from $50 to $1,300 and a few cost even more. Beware! Even the extremely high priced ones demonstrate a lack of understanding of the creativity brainstorming process as a whole. Paying a high price does not guarantee you the desired results. The good news, however, is that there is one software recently released that actually does closely align and harmonize with the genuine creative brainstorming process. I’ll come back to that subject later.

How to “Quick Start” the Brainstorming Process

The reading and writing processes have been taught to us from an early age. The problem with the brainstorming process is that people such as Thomas Edison are so engrossed in doing the process and having such phenomenal successes, that they usually won’t take the time to teach others how. Unlike Thomas Edison, I have a little different story. I have been effectively using the brainstorming process for over 32 years in my professional life. However, because I often worked in large fortune 100 companies, I would frequently be involved in team environments. This was good for everyone and especially me because I saw many over the years “get it” (the creativity process) and then they would use the process successfully and fantastic things resulted.

My life has been tremendously enriched by this process and it has especially been enriched by seeing others succeed once they learned the brainstorming process themselves. This is why I chose to disclose the process in this web site (What you will see here today is very little compared to what I will be releasing over the next few weeks and months).

My reason for mentioning this is that it is so much better and easier to get the sense and use the brainstorming process in the right way if you have someone to guide and mentor you. But because your chances are a million to one of finding a mentor, the next best thing is using the right kind of software that helps you to conform to the natural brainstorming process. This is especially so if the process is broken into simplest terms, while at the same time, the software facilitates and enhances the entire process and outcomes. It is for these and many other reasons why I have chosen to explain the true, correct and genuine brainstorming process, while at the same time, sharing how a new software package makes many of the steps and procedures very natural and easy to perform particularly in a professional business environment.

(I am currently testing several other tools and will report my findings over the next several weeks and months. Also, I am working directly with technical people and organizations who may deliver even more. I will keep you posted about those results also.)

Additionally, detailed and virtually unknown successful and powerful brainstorming deep secrets will be made available on a secured basis. Secured for two reasons:

  • Although this site is completeley protected under world copyright laws, information available to the general public can be stolen. I am happy to reveal many of my 32 years of brainstorming secrets and successes. But I don’t believe other people should get credit when they have not experienced the pains and trial and error I have in so many ways across so many years.
  • Instead, I believe people like yourself who have taken the time and invested your energies deserve special information not available to the general public. When you work hard to learn and apply the Brainstorming Process you should have the deeper more important brainstorming building-blocks and secrets that others won’t obtain. By your hard work you have earned that privileged information!

It is for these reasons I have chosen to announce not only public information but also valuable secured information to a select few. Therefore, I will e-mail you when new information is available on this general web site. More importantly, I will e-mail you special passwords for secured information that will never be made public at any time! I will never ask you for anything but an e-mail address and name. And my Privacy Policy has always been to never reveal that information to anyone else because I hate spam.

Launch the Brainstorming Process the Easy Way

"Blank Page presents endless possibilities... mental block! Target Problem Lists are the real key to effectively auto-brainstorming. This one incredible process piece jump starts creativity in unimaginable ways!"

Brainstorming and the "Blank Page"

“Blank Page” is one of the biggest issues in Brainstorming Creativity. When you are faced with starting to create, invent and innovate new ideas, it is almost impossible when faced with a blank page. The reason is it presents endless possibilities. All those different paths and possibilities overwhelm the mind.

The writer’s solution is to start by editing. It’s always easier to edit rather than having a blank page. Instead, they quickly write several paragraphs with the idea that most paragraphs will never make it. But they have effectively started the process of writing.

What is a Target Problem List? How Does This List Fit Into the Brainstorming Process? Where Does a Target Problem List Come From?

Like creative writers, learn to start with an already written piece and then edit. This is where you use a Target Problem List. A Target Problem List is why you would start the brainstorming creative processes in the first place. You’ll see why in a minute. Next, take an item and start noting and recording around that Target Problem Item. Note what could work and what won’t work as potential solutions. To make this effort even easier, I will now introduce you to the only software currently available that harmonizes with the true brainstorming process. I will simply refer to this software as the “Brainstorming Tool Software” (BTS).

  • “Blank Page” is by far the biggest problem you will face in the brainstorming creativity process. However, even though this new software presents the most intuitive approaches to solve this issue… wait before you buy!
  • Even though this software is less than $400; wait until you understand the value it could bring. Otherwise, you are just wasting valuable time and money.Further on down this page I will provide you the link to the company’s official web site so you can learn more about it and buy it when you are ready. But be sure to use the link I provide because if there are any special offers, my link will make sure you get those discounts. From time to time the official source even sells their software for under $300. So be sure and use my link when you are ready. Also, I do not recommend buying this software from somewhere other than the source because you won’t get the support and free updates.

Remember the key is the process—not the software. If you choose to accelerate your learning and creative development speed using software, that is your choice. Simply make sure you choose wisely. Now let’s get back to the brainstorming process. So you have your Target Problem List and you begin by taking each item and noting potential solutions along with what won’t work.

  • Just by logging these discoveries, by the end of the week you will have found tons of Target Problem Items.
  • If you use BTS (“Brainstorming Tool Software”), you’ll find this to be even easier. BTS streamlines this with ready-made templates.
  • Supplying just one of your listed targets, BTS builds out ideas and paths in several directions. Paths that super accelerate this part of the creative brainstorming process.

This list is derived from places such as emails, complaints, surveys, missed goals; virtually any place where the “mark” is missed. As an example, during any workday things don’t seem to go as smoothly as expected or just seem to not work out. What happens? We perform the “workarounds” to gap any issues so we can get the job done. Several of these arise every single day even in the most efficient environments. Add to these “workaround signals" any email you may receive that could indicate an issue. If we receive a direct email complaint, this is a clear signal of a “Target Problem Item.” However, many emails provide signals where an issue is not clearly raised. Maybe just a sour tone is all you see in an email. This could be an important clue there is something not hitting the mark. Any other interaction, either internal or external, can easily provide clues of hidden issues and problems.

Once you start logging each of these emails and other interactions and log each event where you find yourself performing some form of “workaround,” you will find that by logging all these that by the end of the week you will have found tons of Target Problem Items. These become your Target Problem List. You have just launched the Brainstorming Creativity process. Notice this is as if it was automatic. It will feel automatic because it is natural and that is because you are hardwired for brainstorming just like I am, Thomas Edison was, and just like Bill Gates.

If you use BTS (“Brainstorming Tool Software”), you’ll find this to be even easier. BTS really streamlines this because you can trigger ready-made templates. These “Creativity Templates” push the process past the “blank page” fast and easy. By supplying just one of your listed targets, BTS builds out in several directions. Because of this ONE powerful feature, instead of starting out with a cold blank page, you automatically go past this mind stopper/blocker and are into editing. Therefore, there’s no idea blockage.

Brainstorming Just Got Easier!

BTS builds out a brainstorming map
based on and around Target Problem Items.
Working clockwise and then counterclockwise... focus on each branch just for a few seconds... add ideas to that branch. BTS then adds branches to each new idea.

Here is how BTS makes this easy...

First, select a mind map or one of the many preexisting businesses/creativity brainstorming templates. Then enter your problem term/phrase. Now launch the brainstorming process by using the “Type and Return” function. Instantly, BTS builds out a brainstorming map based on and around that Target Problem Item.

Here is how I recommend using this feature. I like to work clockwise, and then counterclockwise, going through each of the branches that were built out of my start term. I focus on each branch just for a few seconds and add whatever pops up into my mind to that branch. BTS then adds branches to it. What really makes this process fly is I can take any branch or branch cluster and drag and drop it to any other. All of a sudden thoughts just start pouring out as if it were automatic. Again, this is because this approach is in harmony with natural brainstorming and what is already hardwired in you.

What facilitates the whole effect is BTS’s Map Explorer. You are really going to love this because you can quickly move around and focus on one area after another without scrolling. I like this because nothing gets in the way of the free flow of ideas. It’s very intuitive and we haven’t really even begun generating ideas yet.

How procedure facilitates the creativity process

Let’s talk about what you accomplish with this clockwise counterclockwise routine. In effect what you are doing is setting up a creative mental rhythm. By spending a few seconds on each item and then passing on to the next and so forth, your mind is presented with ideas in rapid succession. In so doing you are asking your mind at each element to discover something by both giving consideration to that idea/element and by physical invitation by systematic action. You do this first by clockwise consideration and then counterclockwise thinking (you will see this kind of pattern often because it is part of your creative hardwire).

Why does this work and promote ideas? To begin with, direction and rhythm are important. You set out mental expectations by rhythm. Rhythm signals the mind that it has only a few seconds to reach an idea as you stop at each element. This is not a forced reaction it is just the natural reaction. Rhythm sets this expectation up by the pace. Moving thought from one item to the next, with the agreement that you will discontinue your thoughts about the one and will now make a consideration of the next element, signals the mind to formulate ideas fast and without filter. We often call this free-flow thinking so named by how it feels when you experience it.

The problem most have is they do not know how to trigger free-flow thought and so it is hit or miss for most. That’s because they overlook our hardwire nature. Because of overlooking this nature they believe creative brainstorming must be the result of “free-flow” activities and thus without process. That’s the big mistake! It is only by process that you will have repeatable success. It is by the correct process that you will improve this built-in talent just like reading and writing.

What role does changing direction from clockwise to counterclockwise play? This is another interesting and automatic piece that gets in harmony with our hardwired brainstorming nature. The act of changing direction signals the brain to change to another thought pattern. You can’t tell your brain by words to change. The creative brain speaks in a different language. By the physical change in direction your mind understands it must now change in thought process/pattern.

Why is this change good? Each time you change your thought pattern and re-review your idea elements you will recognize completely different things you were unable to understand before. You will pick-up on different relationships between ideas. You will see into each idea from a different vantage point. All of these changes in turn trigger a whole new set of related but different ideas.

What overall effect does idea processing in this way have towards idea building? Your overall effect is that you become intimate with each idea. Some tangible benefits are the result. Idea processing in this way delivers many important things such as:

  • A stronger and deeper understanding of each element and how all of the elements fit and work together is a powerful by-product.
  • Benefits are new and better ideas come faster and easier.
  • Solutions show themselves and become much easier to evaluate and eliminate.

All of this is the result of harmonizing with how you are hardwired. You position your mind towards creativity. The outcomes are incredible and improve with practice. You will be pleasantly shocked by how such an easy process delivers such profound results in a seemingly automatic way.

Rapid Brainstorming Creative Ideas!

“Map Explorer pushes the creativity process to the ultimate edge. Used in connection with ton’s of business, creativity, mind-mapping brainstorming templates facilitates idea and concept presentations that springboard ideas easily and fast. ”

Effective and Efficient Brainstorming

Brainstorming new ideas effectively and efficiently is what creative thinking is all about. To be in demand, valued and paid the highest salaries in today’s world, you need to become a brainstorming expert in the quickest way possible. BTS goes way beyond this by jumpstarting the free flow of ideas by all of the prebuilt and variety of brainstorming-creativity templates. Much more is involved than just software... but there are significant advantages by using the correct software.

Advantages/Benefits Using the Correct Software

Because ideas start coming so fast, they could easily be leaked away. But because information is structured automatically into mind maps, BTS is able to keep your thought process in motion. Again, this is why this is one of the best investments you’ll make for your organization and your career. Stay with me… don’t get distracted, I’ll provide you with the links to this tool, but for now stay here and understand the Brainstorming Process.

Sparking Imaginative and Creative Brainstorming

Category Maps are another incredible way to spark imaginative and creative brainstorms. Category Maps link ideas and then group them together in very special ways. You get presented with whole new and completely different Tree-View ways to see your brainstormed ideas. Again, this spawns other ideas. I have done this on paper and on other software applications but the problem is they won’t keep up with your mind. What I like most about BTS is it stays intuitively ahead, thereby further facilitating the entire creative/brainstorming process.

Affinity Diagramming presents another thought provoking approach. By diagramming groups of ideas into an order by familiarity and unique relationship, you get yet another totally different presentation of thoughts. What you get is another opportunity to auto-trigger your thoughts in the brainstorming process.

Gathering Ideas for Brainstorming

BTS templates and presentation maps and diagrams are only a part of what’s at the heart of this powerful brainstorming tool. How ideas, concepts and innovations are gathered and recorded is the other side of the equation. In each presentation and each element, you just click through to add ideas. Whatever idea elements or entire idea blocks need to be moved, you do so in free flow manner anywhere just by dragging and dropping. When you are working with teams, you will quickly see just how valuable this can be.

Brainstorming with Teams

One of the biggest challenges you encounter working with teams is starting without any team agreement. Here is what happens...

  • Each team member starts into the creative/brainstorming process with some preconceived idea of how things should be done. Much time, energy and creativity is lost because of this. I find when I come with a tool that presents ideas in so many different and unexpected ways, that everyone is satisfied and just fold right into the brainstorming project.
  • In addition, I find when people recognize that a powerful software application has well defined proven brainstorming approaches; most will just accept the process approaches and get onboard. What BTS adds to this is the ability to capture and tag each team member’s concepts and ideas.

Creativity/Brainstorming to Managing Projects Effectively

This was a huge surprise to me, and very valuable for real-world business brainstorming situations. Over the last 32 years or so, I have worked with small local to large national creative and result outcome teams. A huge problem I see over and over again is that once ideas and concepts are pre-decided and placed into special projects mode and then launched, there existed a flaw that often becomes the deal breaker. What happens as the project is executed, as with any new idea, there are those unanticipated holdups. What happens?

  • Results in challenges that need to come back to the drawing board for resolution. In other words, back into the brainstorming process. Guess what happens?
  • These challenges back up other things and soon to follow are other problems and still others.
  • Project managers build a whole new creative team and this new team starts to reinvent the wheel in an effort to complete the project.

Things get very serious very fast... but here is a wonderful surprise!

The Brainstorming Surprise!

Creative brainstorming done in the proper way records concepts and ideas. The downside is the tendency to break thought flow.

Once ideas start streaming any pause can disrupt the flow. BTS captures ideas as fast as they flow. I value this much because any break in the thought chain could mean several hours trying to pick up the trail again.

Several meaningful built-in tools will move the flow of thought along. These tools are intuitive and actually contributes towards the overall outcome.

Brainstorming Process Captures Everything

Rather than position project leads and teams for failure, BTS displays its real genius! If you exploit this tool completely, here is what happens: First, your brainstorming process has captured everything. You have gone from narrow to wide and wide to narrow. You have done 360 degree circles around every idea and concept.

You use all of the ideas and concept presentation and gathering functions and finally, all participants see from these, the clear decision for the innovation. Now BTS allows you to place this innovation into project production. You can do this by simply exporting your brainstormed results map into Microsoft Project and manage the project from MS Project or use another intuitive visual solution.

Visual Project Management and Creativity

The other solution is to manage the project directly from BTS. BTS provides a full range of tools to scope, plan, monitor, manage and deliver on projects in effective, natural and practical ways. But that’s not the best part. Whether you choose to implement any project from BTS or Microsoft Project, the real secret weapon is in the fact that you launched the project from BTS.

This is important because when a problem or challenge is encountered, rather than have your project experience backend collapse, you can now just back up to the inception points of the innovation. Because each concept and idea has been tracked, you have a way to backtrack or retrace the steps.

Rather than reinvent the wheel and try to get others on the same page (who may never understand how you got to the innovation) you can just go back to the trail. And because the ability exists to tie team members to their inputs and ideas, you can re-engage the originators where needed. Therefore, by trailing back to original innovators, this results in a much faster and more effective solution. For this reason alone, the BTS tool stands out head and shoulders above all.

Brainstorming Creative Collaboration

Built in are a whole set of tools to facilitate collaboration. You have the ability to package any element, block of ideas or entire brainstorming sessions. Entire maps, affinity diagrams or category maps can be transformed into PDFs, HTML or even PowerPoint and then emailed out. Oh, did I forget to mention that BTS integrates into Microsoft Outlook? You can even create packages to use with WebEx and other collaborative tools.

Brainstorming: The Key to Decision-Making Success

Decision making is a natural value-point in the creative brainstorming process. The process of creative thinking makes each concept stand out clearly because you are looking at each from many different sides and  perspectives.

BTS even goes a step further by ranking options with Categories. This is incredibly intuitive.

Decision-Making Becomes Natural

Innovation and decision-making work together in the creative brainstorming process. Business today demands correct decisions. Brainstorming and creativity done in the correct way makes decision-making easy. Why is this so? What makes decision-making hard are distractions and the lack of clear thinking.

When you mix into the decision-making process risk and time, correct decision-making really gets hard and becomes a hit and miss event. Brainstorming is the only correct way to solve this.

How Brainstorming Guarantees Correct Decisions

Decision-making, boiled down to its raw forms, is mostly either a selecting of options or making one correct choice. Another way to say this is that you are presented with a set of options where you just have to choose one. However, for the most part, many of the options will work, and it becomes just a matter of choosing one and sticking to it. The other type of decision making is choosing one thing and only that one thing will work.

The Brainstorming Creativity By-Product

A by-product of brainstorming in the correct way is a very clear and undistracted view. As you follow the process of creative thinking, each concept you focus in on stands out clearly because you are looking at it from many different perspectives. You are contrasting and comparing. In effect, you are doing a 360 degree circle. Once you have done this, decisions are easy to make because of how closely you have come to know all of the factors surrounding each choice.

This BTS decision-making template positions you to explore the alternatives, weigh the correct risks, and to see and recognize all of the success factors. Because you use the built-in Map Explorer, it is all performed easily. BTS even goes a step further by ranking options with Categories. This is incredibly intuitive. Because every step is mapped out, you can walk others through each phase and explain why you made your decision with complete confidence.

Brainstorming and Effective Impact Analysis

Now BTS makes available powerful SWOT tools.
SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. SWOT is becoming more and more important in today’s global business evaluations.

Combined with other views of decision-meaning and making information brainstorming can now engage powerful tools for drawing correct business conclusions quickly with little effort.

Real World Decision Impact Analysis

In real world business decisions and strategies, nothing is isolated. Each decision we make has the potential of impacting other areas both in positive and negative ways. This is a very critical piece in the brainstorming process. In addition to the many other tools built into BTS, I found other valuable tools designed for impact analysis.

There are a group of Solution and Effect templates that facilitate this type of real world brainstorming analysis. These are very valuable because they facilitate exploring and identifying major effects of any solution point.

These tools make analyzing the impact of these efforts straight forward. What I like most about these is that results are presented in an Output Tree diagram. So you see things from left to right; in others words, a “Solution to Effect” output. Everything is extremely visual; therefore it becomes very clear where the analysis is leading to. But this is just the surface of Brainstorming Impact Analysis.

Deep Dive Analysis of Brainstorming

For those of us involved in small to large scale mission critical decisions, BTS provides other extremely useful tools for brainstorming impact analysis. These are the SWOT tools (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats). SWOT is a more in-depth impact analysis that has become much more popular in this global business we operate in today. SWOT provides not only the picture of any decision impact, but fills that picture in with color—full color. The downside of course is the complexity of this type of deep dive impact analysis. However, by using BTS, this approach is made simple:

  • First, you select the central branch of your BTS map that you are interested in analyzing.
  • Next, you use the Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats arms to gather the information. The result is you will easily identify the correct way to proceed and go forward with your brainstorming solution.

You can then further your analysis using the powerful Categories function to help analyze and understand the impacting information. In addition, you can input recommendations as a result of SWOT, directly on that branch of your map. You can also assign resources to accomplish tasks for success in the same way. The entire SWOT analysis process is broken down to simple terms and then made clear to understand visually. Here’s another wonderful surprise included in BTS in line with the brainstorming process.

Brainstorming and Purposeful Team Meetings

Start any meeting out with an agenda that brings strong direction no matter what type of meeting.

Distribute Mind-Maps and other Biz Brainstorming data Views
in HTML, PDF, Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio Diagrams. BTS seamlessly integrates into other organizational tools: MS Office Application, MS Project, MS Outlook and Visio.

Everything from brainstorming, to purposeful team meetings, to visual project management is delivered in this feature-packed brainstorming creativity business tool.

Team Meeting Productivity Tools

One other set of brainstorming features I want to highlight that I found valuable, especially in team environments, are the Meeting Productivity tools.

BTS provides a template for meetings management. This template is valuable because it makes your meetings purposeful. Your meeting plan is jumpstarted with a checklist. Instead of walking into a meeting open-ended, you start out with an agenda that brings strong direction to any meeting. You simply use Map Explorer and move through the agenda to assign tasks and resources.

It is done in such a way that each member clearly knows what is expected of him/her personally. Meeting minutes are intuitively captured along with action items. You can then instantly distribute action items and meeting minutes in several different, efficient ways.

You can distribute these via HTML, PDF, Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio Diagrams and/or others. It’s easy to package all of the results from BTS into one or multiple files. All can be exported and all can be tracked and updated seamlessly through MS Outlook.

Brainstorming Tool Software Is Not For Everyone

BTS works in Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and later versions. BTS requires 100MB of hard disk space and 256MB of RAM. You get 2 user licenses so you can install on 2 different computers (I really like this!) Other tools with similar features sell for $500 to $600. These might interest you, but for me they are a waste. Although other tools are available in the range of $50 to $300, these others are nothing more than “carve-outs” and usually deliver only one of the many CORE FUNCTIONS of BTS. I recommend BTS for several reasons:

  • Creativity and Brainstorming is tremendously facilitated and amplified by how intuitively information is captured, analyzed and visually delivered in many inspirational ways.
  • Built in Collaboration tools foster team synergy and creativity.
  • Large scale impact analyses are delivered easily and intuitively making it simple for anyone to draw proper, insightful conclusions and decisions.
  • BTS seamlessly integrates into other organizational tools: MS Office Application, MS Project, MS Outlook and Visio.
  • BTS has many varieties of tools that align with real world business brainstorming processes that deliver streamlined, efficient and profitable results.
  • Redundancies are reduced while productivity is increased.
  • Everything from brainstorming, to purposeful team meetings, to visual project management is delivered in this feature-packed brainstorming creativity business tool.

I am sure that you realize BTS is not the actual name of this Brainstorming Tool Software, but it is how I refer to it because of how useful I have found this for brainstorming. Brainstorming Tool Software... click through to the Official Software source company.
